What is Hair Removal?

Hair removal uses laser or intense pulsed light to reduce hair regrowth within a hair growth cycle. Generally, after multiple laser or light treatments, hair clearance rates can reach 95%, though results vary depending on many factors. On average, 4-6 sessions are needed to achieve ideal results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find answers on frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the answer, feel free to contact us via email or phone.

Does hair removal affect sweating? +
Sweating mainly depends on eccrine glands, whose openings are not located in hair follicles. Laser hair removal targets hair follicles without damaging sweat glands, so it does not affect the body's metabolism or sweating.
Is hair removal harmful to the skin? +
Human skin is a relatively translucent structure. In the presence of powerful lasers, the skin is almost like a transparent sheet - the laser can pass smoothly through the skin deep into the hair follicles. Since hair follicles contain a lot of melanin, they preferentially absorb large amounts of laser energy which is ultimately converted into heat, raising the follicle temperature to the point of destroying its function. During this process, since the skin absorbs little to no laser energy, there is no damage to the skin itself.
Is the hair removal effect the same for everyone and all body parts? +
The number of sessions depends on the area, hair color, thickness, and skin type. Generally, lighter skin with darker, coarser hair responds better to hair removal. Conversely, finer and lighter hair requires more sessions, for example, upper lip hair.
Can I sunbathe immediately after hair removal? +
After hair removal, the skin's protective function is reduced and it is more prone to sensitivity. You should avoid further skin irritation, so sun exposure is not recommended immediately after treatment.
What skin types are not suitable for laser hair removal? +
Except for pregnant women, cancer patients, individuals with certain severe medical conditions or skin diseases, hair removal is suitable for almost all skin types. We will conduct a spot skin test on your arm before the treatment to determine if you are suitable for the hair removal procedure.
Why does hair removal require multiple sessions? +
Human hair goes through different growth cycles: anagen (growth), catagen (transition), and telogen (resting). Laser hair removal is only effective on hair in the anagen phase. If hair is in any other phase, the laser won't effectively disrupt the hair growth environment, which is why multiple sessions are needed to ensure results.
How long does the hair removal effect last? +
Dark and coarse hair: 4-6 sessions for very good results. Even if hair regrows, it will be much finer and less noticeable.
Fine and light hair: 8-12 sessions for ideal results.
After completing the treatment course, we recommend a maintenance session every 3-6 months.
